Every piece of jewellery from Sette is crafted with durability in mind, from initial design to the final stage of production. Meticulously crafted and hand finished using locally sourced, recycled materials, our skilled specialists oversee every phase of the manufacturing process. We use solid 925 silver, gold plating, rhodium plating and black ruthenium plating, and due to the delicate nature of these materials, they require careful handling. To preserve your Sette pieces, we encourage you to carefully read our jewellery care guide.
RULES
Keep jewellery away from harsh chemicals. Exposure to products, perfumes, oil sprays, lotions, and cleaners can tarnish metals and damage stones.
Remove your jewellery before engaging in activities that might lead to physical damage. This includes exercise, gardening, swimming, or any sports that could potentially expose your pieces to high impact or harsh environments.
Avoid leaving your jewelry in extreme temperatures, as both heat and cold can cause metals to deform and stones to crack.
If not being worn, we recommend storing each piece of jewellery separately to prevent scratches or tangling. Use a SETTE soft pouches for each piece, or a fabric-lined jewellery box.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Try to keep your jewellery dry and store away from moisture to prevent tarnish. If travelling in hot countries a great way to store jewellery is to store in mini zip lock bags, these are air tight.
Regularly clean your jewellery to maintain its shine and remove any oils or dirt. Use a lint free microfiber cloth (e.g. a sunglasses cloth) so it does not scratch the plating. We only recommend a jewellery polishing cloth on our entirely silver pieces are these are mildly abrasive and can damage the finish. For deeper cleaning, soak in warm water for a few minutes and buff dry using a soft sunglasses cloth or soft disposable tissue.
Get into good habits of removing your jewellery before showering and swimming as chemicals from shampoos, salt water and chlorine can effect our metals.
